The Ultimate Connection to Your Collection
by David M. Brown

garageONE Scottsdale
Do your cars deserve condos?

Of course they do. They're classics and one-of-a-kinds and they're proudly yours: a numbers-documented hemi Cuda convertible; an early Porsche turbo that's scorched the autobahn and the track; a Ferrari that Enzo once drove; a Duesy owned by a '30s movie star; a DB5 that James didn't drive but would have, during or between espionage gigs, gorgeous women and vintage Dom Perignon; a just slightly worn Lamborghini that ran well once at LeMans; or a rumbling Harley from the '50s or a chromed-out street rod that began its life in '38. Your connection with them is visceral, long-standing, beyond dollars and certainly a little beyondsense.

For them, and you, garageONESM Scottsdale offers luxury garage space with amenities that will equal the best anywhere. On 1.2 acres, garageONESM Scottsdale will be at 83rd Place, just south of Raintree Drive in the Scottsdale Airpark, less than a mile from the Loop 101.

"This is one of the great locations in the Valley, many people are telling us," says company founder and principal Jeff Weber. "It's in Scottsdale and close to all of the car facilities in the Airpark." He adds: "We think of this as the Rolls Royce of garage space. Ferraris will like the space, too, and Facel Vegas, Corvettes and custom Harleys - and any of your other prized vehicles."
In the third quarter of this year, Weber and his Newport Beach, Calif. Resco Development team will begin construction on the walled and gated 27,000-square-foot facility. Its 14 super-luxe condos will all have use of a common car wash bay and will include 18-foot-high ceilings; five levels of security; heat and air conditioning; active and passive exhaust system; a flat-screen LCD television; BaldHead cabinet system; tiled restroom with shower, commode and urinal; and many other standard features. Owners may also install a wet bar, a kitchenette and build wine, cigar and gun storage.

Weber expects that the building will be complete by the second quarter of 2009. Denise Ham of Scottsdale is serving as the broker for garageONESM Scottsdale and can be reached through the number below.

All of the 24/7-access condos will be 1,940 square feet, including a 440-square-foot carpeted mezzanine level that can be used to watch ballgames, play poker, check in on the computer or just relax. By Scottsdale ordinance, the garages cannot be used for living full time or for full-time business. Each of the condos will accommodate four cars on the ground floor and up to six cars with a lift. Owners can decorate the interiors to taste, including colors, automobilia, pictures, trophies and other mementoes. Exterior finishes will remain fixed.
